FY 2017-18 State Department of Health Emergency Medical Services Grant Funds for Improvement and Expansion of Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Services and Associated Resolution

The FY 2018 grant award amount is $26,026. Once the grant award is received a Budget Resolution will be prepared.
The State EMS grant funds are derived from surcharges levied on fines for various traffic violations. The DOH, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services is authorized by Chapter 401, Part II, Florida Statutes, to distribute these funds to local governments and their emergency medical services providers. The goal of the program is to improve and expand pre-hospital emergency medical services.
Hernando County’s FY 2018 grant award is $26,026 to be expended in FY 2018. HCFR staff have been tasked with administration of this grant and will complete the final application packet for submittal to the State, as well as all associated grant reporting.
