Discussion Regarding Contract No.15-TS00099/BH With Utility Service Company, Inc., for Hernando Beach Water Tower Maintenance Agreement

On June 18, 2008, the BOCC approved Piggyback of the City of Tavares Contract 2007-0011 - Water Tower Maintenance at Hernando Beach Water Tower for a seven (7) year period with expiration on June 30, 2016.
On January 26, 2016, the (then) Assistant County Administrator-General Services entered into a Contract Agreement (effective July 1, 2016) with Utility Service Co. Inc., for Maintenance Services in accordance with County Contract Agreement No. 15-TS0099/BH in the amount of $109,688.53 for a cumulative total of ten (10) years. This contract was not elevated by the BOCC for approval.
On November 14, 2017, Purchasing and Contracts Chief Procurement Officer brought Agenda Item Doc ID 13758 to the Board representing Contract Agreement No.15-TS00099/BH for Ratification approval. The objective of this approval is to obtain Contract Agreement approval not previously obtained by prior Assistant County Administrator-General Services - a housekeeping item.
This ratification (request for approval) is in accordance with Purchasing Ordinance No. 93-16, Sec. 2-98 (1), with Purchasing and Contracts Policy Procedure Manual, Procedure No. 020G (2.)(D.)(2.) for contract performance period of July 1, 2016, ending June 30, 2021 "AND" to authorize Chief Procurement Officer to review and approve renewal period of July 1, 2021 ending June 30, 2026 (Revised).
