Body

Purchasing and Contracts Department issued Bid No.17-CG0061/BH on June 28, 2017, at the request of the Hernando County Department of Public Works, to obtain bids for the Quality Drive Sidewalk LAP Project.

 

Purchasing and Contracts placed the legal advertisement and bid notification on the County’s electronic website on June 28, 2017.  Bidders were notified through Florida Bid Net and a total of five (5) bids were received.  The following is a summary of the bid responses received.  (Attached is the detailed bid tabulation.)

Ajax Paving Industries of Florida, LLC - North Venice, FL              $570,486.00

 

Bids were evaluated based on price, conformance with specifications, and the bidder’s ability to perform the contract in accordance with the terms, conditions and specifications required.  Bid responses were reviewed and evaluated by the County staff and Purchasing and Contracts and found to be responsive and responsible.

 

The method of award as stated in the bid is to the lowest, responsive, and responsible bid.  Staff determined that Augustine Construction, Inc., of Tarpon Springs, FL, submitted the lowest, responsive, and responsible bid.

 

The Chief Procurement Officer has reviewed this requirement for conformance to Procurement Ordinance and Purchasing Policies and Procedures.
