Letter in Response to State Department of Economic Opportunity Concerns Resulting From Monitoring Visit in Regard to Procurement of Professional Services for Small Cities Community Development Block Grant Program

Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, FDEO, conducted a desk monitoring of the County’s Procurement of Professional Services for Guardian CRM, Inc. to ensure that contract complied with applicable state and federal regulations as identified in title 2 Code of Federal Regulations part 200, 73C-23.0051(3), Florida Administrative Code, and in some cases section 287.055, Florida Statute.  The County’s procurement process and the contract with Guardian CRM, Inc., complied with program requirements, however, they noted two areas of concerns.

 

Hernando Health and Human Services drafted a letter in response to FDEO concerns acknowledging the county's responsibility to maintain the CDBG project files that document current activities to be reviewed by FDEO at all monitoring visits and that the county is aware of the requirement for FDEO to review contract amendments in the future.

 

Staff has attached that letter for the Chairman’s approval and signature
