Attached is a Certification Form to the Board from the Code Enforcement Department of the fees and costs required to remedy properties causing conditions prohibited by Section 15-163 of the Code.
Pursuant to Section 15-166 of the Code, the fees and costs are required to be paid within 30 days. If the fees and costs are not paid within 30 days, a special assessment lien and an administrative surcharge will be made upon the property which shall be payable with interest at a rate of 10% per annum from the date of such certification until paid. The lien shall be recorded in the public records of the County.
Attached are the Special Assessment lien documents prepared for signature which will be levied as of the 31st day after today's board meeting and which include additional fees and costs per Hernando County Code, Section 15-166. Upon execution, the liens will be recorded in the public records. Once paid, the lien will be released with the approval of the Board of County Commissioners and the funds allocated to the County accordingly.
